To Claim, or Not to Claim

-- God's Gift/Offer to Each of us.

Whether we are willing to admit it or not we were Created --- not by the random processes of nature, but by an Intelligent Being who wants to have a relationship with each of us, and who has already provided a way for us to be joined together with Him for eternity.  In other words, our Creator is Offering us His Greatest Gift: the gift of Eternal Life.

However, because our Creator is a Loving God He will NOT force us to receive this gift, nor will He force His way into our lives, but rather must be invited in by each of us (Rev. 3:20, Rom. 10:13; John 6:37, 14:23-24).  Whereupon He will honor our request and WILL come into our lives, and live inside of us, and quite literally begin to change us from the inside out and make us people who are (in our innermost character) like Himself (II Cor. 5:17; John 14:16-24; 17:3)  Even more importantly, He will make us His own children and give us the Gift of Immortality (John 10:27-30; I John 2:22-25).

However, those who choose to ignore, and/or reject their maker (and His calling upon their lives) will (very likely) be "without excuse" when they stand before Him At The End of Time (Romans 1:18-20; Luke 13:1-5; John 8:24; 14:1-6; Rev. 19:11-20:15).  For the Lord Jesus, Himself, did something very special for us over 2000 years ago (I Cor. 15:1-3, Eph. 1:7), and it is no longer enough to just "believe in God" and then go about our lives as we please, as though He doesn't even exist (John 15:22-24; I Pet. 1:17-23).  Also, in this regard, the apostle Paul tells us in Romans 10:13 that: "whoever will call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved": Something that I, myself, HAD to do many years ago in order to maintain a clear conscience before my Creator -- and something I am VERY GLAD I did.

PS: In a nutshell the Deal is this: We give Him our temporal life here on Earth and begin to live for and obey Him.  It also means that we are willing to acknowledge Him as our Creator and Lord, And to confess the truth that He sent His very own Son, Jesus Christ, down to earth to Die for our sins (in our place as it were), and ask Him to come into our Lives, with a willingness on our part to OBEY and SERVE Him with our Time, Talents, And Money.  In return, He promises to come into our Lives, renew us from the inside out and give us His Spirit as a Pledge of our (future) redemption, and to make Himself known to us in a very personal way.  This does not mean that we will henceforth live sinless lives, but rather that we allow Him to rule over our lives, and that over time we will sin less and less, and obey Him more and more.  Getting saved is easy, living for God afterwards can only be done successfully by allowing Him to reign over our daily lives, and by following Him wherever He leads us.

Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions.  If I know the answer I will tell you.  If I don't I will ask my friends and acquaintances, and search the world to try to find it for you.  And if I can't find it, I will ask God to help you find it yourself -- if indeed it can be answered.

God Bless You for reading this far, and I hope you say YES to the Lord, and that you Do indeed Ask Him to come into your life and to make you the kind of Person that He meant for you to be -- with Him as your intimate and close Helper.  John 6:37, 14:23; II Cor. 5:17.
