Although I use of the word "He" with regard to God, this does NOT mean that I am a male cheauvanist (pig) or that I think women are inferior to men.  I do so simply because God calls Himself "He" in the Bible.  For example, He is referred to as "our Heavenly Father" over and over again, and the Son of God, who is Jesus Christ, the Lord, was also a man.

With that said, God also refers to "man" as both male and female in Genesis, and tells us that He made them both in His image.  This indicates that God also has virtually all female qualities -- even though He calls Himself "our Father."

It is also a fact, that according to Scripture, Jesus was born of the "seed of a woman" -- Gen. 3:15, Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 7:14.  I believe this was done to show all the men of the world, that when it comes to offering salvation to mankind, God didn't want or need your help to pay the price for your Ticket to Heaven (that is, if you want it -- I Jn. 2:25; John 8:24; Rom. 10:4, 13).  This was also because Jesus had to be sinless (without even a sinful nature), and because we are told that our very (selfish and sinful) nature is passed on to us through our fathers (i.e. the corrupt seed of our flesh that was cursed when Adam sinned).

Also, in this regard, some of the greatest people who ever lived were women (i.e. Deborah, Queen Esther, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Joan of Arc, Pocahontas, Corrie ten Boom, and Mother Theresa are some who come to mind).  And to the contrary, many of the most evil people to walk the earth have been men, and whose names I am not going to mention.

There is a LOT more I could say about the value of women, however, I think I'll reserve that for another time.

Sincerely in Christ,
Randy S. Berg
